With the coming of the 2015 Canada Winter Games to Prince George, the city is busy preparing for this national event. Otway Nordic Ski Centre is now one of only about half a dozen cross country ski areas in Canada capable of hosting not only a national event, but also a world class even such as The Olympics. The expansion of the ski trails at Otway have included the upgrade and relocation of the biathlon shooting range, so Lumisave took this opportunity to help Otway illuminate the targets so that events can be held at any time of the day.
Lumisave donated our FL225 Industrial LED Flood Lights to Otway in order to have clean and consistent lighting at every target while also having the wiring and housing to withstand extreme cold and an ricochets from the range.
Many of the adjacent trail lights are also Lumisave Lights; some are the BL420 or BL520 Bay Lights with deep reflector and some are the FL390 Flood Lights.
In partnership with Westcana Electric, we’ve also outfitted and installed Bay Lights in the “Stadium” area of Otway in order to further illuminate the areas near the lodge.
