Lights for Curling

We just installed new lights at the Prince George Golf and Curling Club. We took photos after having installed lights in half of the club, so you can see below the differences between the old bay lights and the new LED Bay Lights with shallow reflectors. The new lights provided a much brighter and whiter light on the sheets of ice as well as giving even coverage of light on all areas because of the shallow reflectors which are directing the light in a broader direction.

Here you can see the LED lights on the left hand side; they are bright, white, and have even coverage. The lights on the left hand side are the old lights; they are not as bright, a yellow colour, and have patches of shadow on the ice because the coverage is not even.

The new lights in the curling club will provide a much better facility for film crews and photographers to capture high profile events such as the Scott Tournament of Hearts that has been hosted in Prince George in the past.

Better views for the spectators too! It’s now much easier for people to see all the way to the other end of the rink.
